Students found the lab super engaging and fun, while giving them something to learn
To introduce students to the concept of genetic material (DNA) and demonstrate how it determines traits in living organisms through an engaging, hands-on activity.
Students conducted a lab experiment where they carefully extracted DNA from strawberries and observed the genetic material firsthand.
Students gained a practical understanding of DNA and its role in determining traits. This activity helped them connect an abstract scientific concept to a tangible, real-world experiment.

Our lab was a great success! Students from various ages participated with everyone suceeding in extracting the strawberry DNA alongside being able to see it themselves.
