Students found the event educational and fun, with them learning about how precise instructions must be
Introduce students to the fundamentals of coding and robotics through an engaging, game-based challenge. Participants explored how programming logic can control real-world robots.
Using Scratch-based coding blocks, kids programmed Makebot robots to navigate a custom obstacle course and knock over video game characters for points—all while avoiding hazards. They debugged their code and refined movement precision through multiple test runs.
Students learned the basics of coding logic and sequencing using Python-inspired Scratch blocks. They discovered that robots require precise instructions and that success often comes through iteration and problem-solving.
Our event was a great success! Students from various ages participated in designing instructions, learning that robots lack common sense and need precise commands to function correctly.
