Introduced Stem Enrichment of NJ to new families in the community
Introduce students to STEM concepts through a fun, hands-on activity—creating DIY lava lamps to explore density and chemical reactions. Additionally, establish STEM Enrichment of New Jersey's presence within the community and connect with local families.
Students crafted personalized lava lamps using household materials while learning how density and chemical reactions create the lava-like effect. Volunteers engaged with over 100 attendees, demonstrating science in a creative and accessible way.
The event strengthened community ties, increased awareness of STEM Enrichment of New Jersey, and showcased the value of informal STEM learning. It served as a unique networking and outreach opportunity outside traditional classroom settings.
Our event was a great success! We were able to connect with over 100 patrons and many kids participated in our activity.
