At this event, we saw over 15 kids enjoy all of our stations! We had lots of fun drawing and making art while learning about STEM topics.
In symmetry painting, you apply paint to one side of a paper, fold it, and reveal a perfectly mirrored image. It’s a playful and colorful way to explore balance and pattern. Great for all ages, this activity turns simple shapes into beautiful, symmetrical artwork.
String art is a creative activity where colorful thread is wrapped around pins or nails to form beautiful geometric patterns and designs. Participants will use boards, pins, and string to make their own unique art pieces. It's a relaxing and hands-on way to combine creativity with math and symmetry.
Pixel art is all about creating images using small colored squares arranged on a grid. Just like in retro video games, each square represents a pixel, and together they form detailed pictures or characters. It’s a fun mix of creativity, color, and logic.
Our STEAM Bites event was a success, with over 15 kids attending and enjoying three engaging stations. While not our biggest event, it was a fantastic opportunity for hands-on learning and creativity, and we are glad to have made a positive impact on the community.
Thanks to everyone who attended for making this event such a success! Your support helps us create more amazing experiences for our community.
