A recap of our exciting Forensic Science event at the library. We had a blast exploring the world of crime scene investigation with our young detectives!
A daring thief had struck, and our young forensic scientists were on the case! Participants stepped into the role of crime scene investigators to uncover the truth behind a mysterious gem heist.
They dusted for fingerprints, lifted them using powder and tape, and compared the unique patterns to suspect cards. Then, they analyzed a suspicious note left at the scene using chromatography (a colorful technique that separates ink pigments to reveal hidden clues!).
By piecing together the evidence, our detectives successfully matched the fingerprints and ink to identify the culprit behind the crime!
Our event was amazing, with many kids attending and enjoying our mystery. It was a stellar opportunity, and we are glad to have made a positive impact on the community.
