At this event, we learned about chemical processes and non-Newtonian fluids through slime-making! In this hands-on process, children measured ingredients and kneaded their mixture until they made gooey slime!
Making Slime
We had a fantastic time hosting the slime-making event! Students mixed ingredients to create different types of slime while learning the science behind polymers and how they affect the texture and stretchiness. We explored how liquids and solids behave differently, and everyone got hands-on experience observing these properties in action. Teams experimented with slime recipes, comparing results and discussing what made each batch unique.
