At this event, we learned about engineering design, cost analysis, and planning through egg drops! In this hands-on process, children drew designs, purchased materials, and worked in teams to build the most protected egg!
Reaching different communities is what we do. At locations such as the New Day Family Success Center, we often face language barriers and children with less exposure to STEM. We're proud to have held our Eggstronaut Egg Drop challenge to provide these kids unique opportunities and new learning environments. Our groups used materials like bubble wrap, cardboard, and plastic straws to secure an egg from drops of up to 20 feet! The winning design utilized multiple layers of soft and hard materials, an engineering feat!
Thanks to everyone who attended for making this event such a success! Your support helps us create more amazing experiences for our community.
